B. 44
C. 170
D. 913
E. None of these

D. 913

The series follows the pattern:
8 + 0! + 2! = 11, 11 + 1! + 3! = 18, 18 + 2! + 4! = 44, 44 + 3! + 5! = 170, 170 + 4! + 6! = 914
So, 914 should be in place of 913.

2. The following numbers form a series. Find the odd one out.
657, 456, 301, 187, 105, 52
A. 456
B. 187
C. 301
D. 52
E. 105

B. 187

The series follows the pattern:
93 – 92 + 9 = 657, 8– 82 + 8 = 456, 7– 72 + 7 = 301, 6– 62 + 6 = 186, 5– 52 + 5 = 105, 4– 42 + 4 =52 So, 186 should be in place of 187.

3. The following numbers form a series. Find the odd one out.
2917, 973, 324, 109, 37, 13
A. 973
B. 13
C. 324
D. 109
E. 37

C. 324

The series follows the pattern:
(2917 – 1)/3 + 1 = 973, (973 – 1)/3 + 1 = 325, (325 – 1)/3 + 1 = 109, (109 – 1)/3 + 1 = 37, (37 – 1)/3 +1 = 13 So, 325 should be in place of 324.

4. The following numbers form a series. Find the odd one out.
4, 8, 21, 48, 95
A. 4
B. 8
C. 21
D. 48
E. 95

A.4

The series follows the pattern
03 + 12 + 21 = 3, 13 + 22 + 31 = 8, 23 + 32 + 41 = 21, 33 + 42 + 51 = 48, 43 + 52 + 61 = 95 Therefore, 3 should be in place of 4.

5. The following numbers form a series. Find the odd one out.
3, 16, 90, 578, 4200
A. 3
B. 16
C. 90
D. 578
E. 4200

D. 578

The series follows the pattern
3! – 2! – 1! = 3, 4! – 3! – 2! = 16, 5! – 4! – 3! = 90, 6! – 5! – 4! = 576, 7! – 6! – 5! = 4200
Therefore, 576 should be in place of 578.

5, 21, 42, 66, ? , 115, 136
A. 85
B. 91
C. 95
D. 100
E. 101

B. 91

The series follows the pattern
5 + 2*8 = 21, 21 + 3*7 = 42, 42 + 4*6 = 66, 66 + 5*5 = 91, 91 + 6*4 = 115, 115 + 7*3 = 136

A. -52
B. -100
C. 100
D. -125
E. -126

E. -126

The series follows the pattern
54-2*4 = 46, 46-3*6 = 28, 28-4*8 = -4, -4 – 5*10 = -54, -54 – 6*12 = -126
